

Dr. Dalvi is the Director of the Comprehensive Movement Disorders Program at Palm Beach Neuroscience Institute and also leads the Memory Disorders Center at St. Mary's in West Palm Beach. He completed a fellowship in Parkinson’s disease at Columbia University in New York and previously served as the Director of the Neurology Residency Program at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine.

With over 20 years of experience in research, Dr. Dalvi has focused on medical and surgical treatments for Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, dystonia, and essential tremor. His research interests include deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s and tremor, MRI-guided focused ultrasound (FUS) for Parkinson’s disease, and advanced imaging and low-intensity FUS for Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Dalvi is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society and is on the advisory board of the International Essential Tremor Foundation. He has been honored with several awards, including the Doctor of Excellence Award from the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, the Castle Connolly Top Doctor distinction, and the Palm Beach Medical Society Hero of Medicine.

DBS Surgery for Parkinson's disease and tremor

Video shows patient with DBS undergoing adjustments for freezing of gait. Gait improves with DBS on and improves further on optimum DBS settings so the patient is able to walk without assitance.
